Aqua Park Frequently Asked Questions
What are the opening times for the Aqua Park?
May 1st 2018 to September 30th 2018.
Is there parking?
There is parking available.
Do you have changing room and toilet facilities?
We have basic changing rooms, showers and toilets as well as a disabled toilet located near reception. We ensure that all our facilities are kept clean.
Is there anywhere I can leave my keys?
If you are going out on the water and have any keys you can leave them at the Aqua Park check in. Any valuables should be left in your vehicle.
How old do you need to be to go on the Aqua Park?
The minimum age is 8 years old and the minimum height is 1.2m.
Do Children need to be supervised by an adult on the Aqua Park?
Children between the ages of 8 and 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult on the Aqua Park at all times. A ratio of 1 adult to 3 children is required on the activity.
Children between the ages of 13 and 17 can go on the Aqua Park without an adult on the Aqua Park with them, however an accompanying responsible adult still needs to be on site. A ratio of 1 adult on site to 3 children is required.
Do I need to be able to swim?
For the Aqua Park it is very important that you are able to swim 50m in a buoyancy aid and are confident in the water.
How much does it cost to go on the Aqua Park?
Online booking is £15 per person
Booking at reception is £20 per person.
How do I book?
For the Aqua Park you can book online up to 12 hours before a sessions start time through our website or book on the day at reception but always check availability beforehand.
Can I book a group session?
We will take a group booking for the Aqua Park it will depend on the availability.
You can book the Aqua Park out for a private session, please contact us for further information.
Can you wear glasses during a session?
No glasses are allowed on the Aqua Park, you can get prescription goggles which we would recommend.
Can I use my own waterproof camera?
Yes you can however they must be secured to your buoyancy aid only, Allerthorpe Lakeland Park take no responsibility for your items getting lost or damaged.
Do I need to print my ticket?
We will need to see a ticket either printed or on a mobile device at the Aqua Park check in area.
Can I get a refund?
If Allerthorpe Lakeland Park cancels your booking for any reason you will be entitled to a full refund.
If you cancel your booking more than 48 hours before your activity you will be entitled to reschedule for a different date or a 50% refund of your booking price as credit. If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of your activity there will be no refund.
If you wish to cancel your booking outright please contact us and we will refund the money directly back into your account, it takes 5 to 10 days.
Can I leave during the session?
You can leave a session early however there will be no refund and you must talk to staff before you leave so they are aware and can help you back to shore.
What footwear is recommended on the Aqua Park?
For the Aqua Park we advise water shoes or water socks, barefoot is acceptable. We do not allow any other form of footwear.
What should I wear on the day?
We recommend you come in your swimming costume/trunks underneath your clothing ready to put a wetsuit on.
Do I need to remove all my jewellery?
All jewellery must be removed before going onto the Aqua Park. This is includes any removable earrings. Piercings will need to be taped over to avoid them being caught on anything.
Do I need to be physically fit to participate?
For the Aqua Park it is essential that you can swim 50m in a buoyancy aid and are confident in the water as well as being able to pull yourself up onto the obstacles. If you are generally fit and active you will be fine.
Can I participate if I am pregnant?
We strongly advise you do not use the Aqua Park if you are pregnant or suspect you may be.
What if I have a medical condition?
Any medical conditions that you may have should be checked with your doctor to determine that you are fit enough to take part. Any medical equipment such as epi-pens/inhalers etc must be left at the Aqua Park check in area first aid station.
What impact do weather conditions have?
Instructors will monitor the weather and in the event of stopping the session everyone will be taken of the water and sheltered until it is deemed safe to continue.
This may delay some sessions and cause us to reschedule we will offer full refunds if you do not wish to reschedule for another date.
