Please ensure that you have read and understood all activity rules and responsibilities before going on the lake. If you have any questions please contact a member of staff.

General Rules :
1.Before launching all lake users must :
- Complete a medical form at reception
- Sign the water sports log
- Pay the correct fee
2.Buoyancy aids and shoes must be worn at all times on or near the water.
3.Children under the age of 16 and receiving instruction by Alp Staff will not need adult supervision until the instruction has finished.

Sailing :
1.Sailing boats may only be used by customers with previous rigging & sailing experience, or those under instruction.
2.Customers under 16 years wishing to hire a boat must wear a helmet at all times.

Kayaking :
1.Kayaks may only be used by those under instruction or customers who have previous experience in the craft, particularly wet exits & self rescuing.
2.Sit-on-tops kayaks may only be used by under 16’s if they have adult supervision but are available for use by beginners.

Windsurfing :
1.All windsurfers must wear either a Buoyancy aid or a harness.

Caravan and Camping Site Rules 2008 :Top
1.Visitors are asked to report to reception on arrival.
2.All fees are payable on arrival at reception.
3.All persons under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult over 21 years of age during their stay at Allerthorpe Lakeland Park.
4.No ball games within the camping site, please use adjacent grass area.
5.Barbeques are permitted providing they are raised off the ground
6.No campfires.
7.Dog Owners must follow Allerthorpe Lakeland Park Rules.
8.All injuries and damage to property must be reported to reception.
9.Please respect your neighbours. No loud music, keep noise levels low after 11.00pm.
10.Visitors are asked to vacate by 12.00 noon on the day of departure.
11.Deposits for lost or stolen electronic keys are non-refundable.
12.Allerthorpe Lakeland Park accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to any personal property, vehicle or caravan or any injury to persons.
13.Only Green chemical solutions to be used in the toilets.
14.The electronic key is for the pitch user only.

Fly Fishing Rules :Top
Allerthorpe Lakeland Park Ltd reserves the right to refuse entry.
Please be aware that the following rules must be observed and no refunds will be provided to anyone in breach of these rules:

1.All anglers must report to the Park Reception on arrival and purchase a ticket.
2.Anglers must have a current Environment Agency rod licence.
3.All Fishing to be with rod and line.
4.Fly fishing only is permitted.
5.Barbless single hooks must be used with maximum size 6. The possession/use of baits of any kind, spinning tackles or bubble floats is prohibited.
6.The limit ticket includes the specified number of fish only.
7.Any additional fish, or fish excess of the weight specified in rules 8 and 9 below must be paid for at a rate, as per price list.
8.The first fish caught under 5lb weight must be killed.
9.No fish over 5lb is to be killed.
10.All golden trout are to be returned to the water unharmed.
11.Park staff may undertake random checks which must not be refused.
12.All anglers must use a knotless landing net. Anyone found using tackle considered as detrimental to the fish will be asked to cease fishing without exception.
13.No angler shall use more than 1 (one) rod at a time.
14.Anglers should not leave a rod unattended.
15.All anglers are required to behave sensibly at the waterside and have due regard for all other anglers. Anyone causing a nuisance will be asked to leave.
16.No fish to be transferred to or from the lake waters without the express permission of the Park Management and then only within the by-laws. Anyone caught or suspected of breaking this rule will be dealt with severely and may leave themselves open to prosecution.
17.All litter, including discarded flies and nylon must be removed from the water and bankside before leaving.
18.No wading.
19.Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
20.Catch returns must be entered in the book provided in the Park Reception before departure.

Failure to comply with activity rules will result in immediate dismissal from the lake and premises. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
